My good friend and fellow Extreme Flight R/C team pilot Donatas Pauzuolis is practicing for the Clover Creek invitational 2010 (USA) together with Chris Hinson as we speak. He will be flying one of the best imac planes on the planet, the all new 125" Extreme Flight Extra 300 powered by a Desert Aircraft 170 and Hitec servos. For freestyle he will be flying a brand new prototype of the new 85-120cc Extreme Flight Extra 300. His extra is equipped with the Desert Aircraft 120 which provides the most amazing power to weight ratio I have ever seen on a model in this class. This new Extra is capable of the hardest, most advanced and most extreme manoeuvres, the planes fits the flying style of Donatas for 100%! Donatas did some demo flights with the 120cc Extra at the Extreme Flight RC "All up huck" last weekend, here is a video of his freestyle routine, enjoy!
Check out this new video of Jurrien Vissers. Jurrien is a top dutch freestyle pilot flying a 40% Carden Extra 300. The airplane is powered by a DA 170 with BMB cannisters. This engine together with the power and reliability of the Hitec 7955 and 7950 servos and the Powerbox Royal make this plane a true winner. Jurrien competes with his Carden in the European Acro Cup series and the Belgian national championship.
Check out this new video of Timen Deprince flying his FL Extra on a nice summer evening! This 2.6m span extra is using hitec servos, a powerbox evolution for power distribution and of course a DA engine with mezjlik propellor.

We would like to present you a new video of the extreme flight 48" Extra exp. As you already know we at 3DCollege try to do things a little different every time. So this time we went to the seaside to have a nice and different background. For the first time we used the Hitec Aurora 9 transmitter. Which is simply a great transmitter for the price!
Don't forget to sign up asap for the biggest F3M competition in Belgium, the Ambiorix Cup in Tongeren. This competition is part of the European Acro Cup series and is known for his excellent organisation. Pilots from all over Europe will compete during 2 days flying known, unknown and freestyle sequences, so it's definitely worth to come and take a look. Last but not least, free entrance for all visitors!

It all started as a joke, "let's go to Joe Nall 2010"... But a couple of months later Wannes, Paul and myself where sitting in a boeing 767 on the apron in Dusseldorf (D), ready to leave for a 12h trip to GreenVille/Spartanburg (GSP) in the USA. We where super excited not only because we where going to the biggest flyin of R/C airplanes in the world, but also because it was our first trip (except for Paul) to the USA. After a long trip we finally arrived at GSP int. airport, we rented a car and drove to Greenville to search a Hotel to stay overnight. At this time we where awake for about 24h but of course super happy, we went downtown Greenville to eat a big steak and went to bed. The next morning (Saturday) we woke up at about 5-6AM, welcome jet lag. We went for a swim in our hotel swimming pool, took a good breakfast and drove downtown Greenville again to explore the city. At about 3pm it was time to head to our meeting point with Chris Hinson the president of Extreme Flight R/C. About 30min later we arrived at the joe nall aerodrome, there was a long row of huge RVs waiting to get in. We drove about 3miles from the gate to the 3d flight line (yes, it's huuuge) and installed the RV and our tent. We had a good time in the evening meeting alot of new people and people we knew from flyinggiants.com or other websites. We also met Fred from HigherPlaneProductions.com, a very nice guy! He had to leave for work during the week, but decided to leave us 3 planes and a camera to capture our adventures in the USA.
We decided to check out the different flight lines on Sunday and do some road trips to explore a little bit of the USA on Monday and Tuesday. In these to days we drove about 800 miles to different nice places, we visited Spartanburg, Asheville, Hendersonville, the smoky mountains and Pigeon Forge. Big fun! We had to bring our rental car back on Wednesday so we stayed at joe nall aerodrome for the rest of the week.
Wednesday is the day when you start to see why this is the biggest event in the world with no less then 954 registered pilots! All flight lines are really really busy! There are very nice noon time demos with some of the best pilots in the world. It's big fun and you really have a hard time to decide where to go first. You can really see almost everything in the R/C airplane world in one place, starting from little electrics on the electric flight line, to 60% aerobatic planes on the 3D flight line and high detail finished wardbirds, jets, etc etc ... on the main flight line. The only thing we missed are big nice gliders,... But it's not only about the flying, the evenings are half the fun! You finally get to know the people behind the nicknames and of course alot of new great people.
I could go on and write about this event for serveral pages, but I think pictures say more then 1000 words. So don't forget to check our "Joe Nall 2010 Gallery" ! As said before we filmed some of our adventures for Higher Plane Productions / FlightPass , so if you are a flightpass member go and check them out ! We uploaded 2 videos to our 3DCollege server for the non flightpass members.
The big season kick off event is over! About 40 pilots came over from all over the Netherlands, the UK and of course Belgium to fly and have fun at the 3th edition of our 3DCollege Big Scale Acro Fly In! And fun it was! Loverly weather, awesome planes, and great people!
Hope to see you there next season!
Alot of people are sending us links to there picture galleries, here are some of them;
Last weekend Paul Plevoets, Gino Budts and myself did a workshop about aerobatics in Sittard, NL. It was the first time we did something like this, we didn't knew what to expect from the weekend, but it turned out to be very cool and we got alot of positive reactions from the pilots.
We talked about the following topics; "Building big scale acro planes" , "Tuning, the key for succes", "3D flying" and "Competition flying". If you are interested for a 3DCollege workshop at your club, feel free to contact us at .
Since there are almost no videos of the new EF 123" Extra on the internet yet, we decided to shoot a little evening flight in Sittard. It was a chill flight, but the video shows the basic characteristics of the plane quite good, it's feels light and precise. Soon we will record some extremer videos to show what this beauty can do!
In 2 weeks there is the Joe Nall fly in edition 2010! Joe Nall aka "biggest fly in in the world" is a mega RC event in the USA. This year Paul, Wannes and myself decided to make the big trip, we will stay at the 3D flight line together with the Extreme Flight RC crew. If you are planning to go to Joe Nall, don't forget to stop by and say hi! Of course we are taking our camera with us, so you can expect a nice video about our (first) USA experience. You can visit the official Joe Nall website for more information.
